Detoxification

Montrose Place is an extended care psychotherapeutic retreat. Detoxification is not part of the Montrose Model treatment programme.

It is mandatory for all clients with substance addiction/ chemical dependence to alcohol and others drugs including: all prescription drugs, marijuana, opiates and stimulants (including cocaine, crack cocaine and amphetamines) to undergo chemical detoxification in a primary care centre prior to admission to Montrose Place.

More About Detoxification

At Montrose Place, we work with a number of primary care rehabilitation centres that are situated in various countries throughout the world. One of our global clinical outreach co-ordinators can help you to arrange this part of your treatment if required.

Montrose Place partners with only select and registered primary care facilities that will manage the withdrawal process for the client in accordance with the highest standards of care to ensure that our clients receive the best treatment and quality of care during their stay.

Those requiring chemical detoxification will have access to the following:
• Medical assessment with the primary rehabilitation GP
• 24 hour nursing care
• Nursing led group in the mornings
• Psycho-educational film and discussion in the afternoon

All primary care centres that Montrose Place partners with offer first-rate accommodation and board.

The Clinical Director of Montrose Place and the individual therapist assigned to the client will be involved throughout the client’s detoxification process to ensure continuity of care.
