Information for referring professionals

At Montrose Place we are committed to providing the highest quality of clinical care for your client. We understand that you will be keen to ensure that a period of residential treatment at Montrose Place will be of benefit to your client. To this end, please feel free to contact us at Montrose Place or one of our outposts in Europe with regard to a potential admission at any time. We will be able to discuss our services and treatment programme with you in more detail or answer any questions you may have with regard to a specific case ensuring that you are absolutely comfortable with your decision to refer your client to Montrose Place. It will also be the first step in establishing a relationship between us as future co-workers in your client’s treatment plan.

At Montrose Place, we are respectful of the fact that you have an established therapeutic alliance with your client and therefore your input is invaluable to us from the outset of, and throughout, the treatment process.

To minimise the amount of time you will have to spend on the referral process, a clinical co-ordinator from Montrose Place will liaise with the client with regard to administrative and fiscal matters . We can make initial contact with a client or their loved ones and provide them with the information they require in order to make this life-changing decision. All we require from you is a letter of referral or discharge report. We will request pre-admission clinical information only with the consent of your client.

Further to these services, and on request, a representative of Montrose Place will meet with you and your client and/ or their loved ones to discuss the treatment programme together in person.
We will arrange an intake assessment with you client prior to admission on the telephone or face-to-face at one of Montrose Place’s outpatient facilities in Europe.

Following an admission, our clinical team will, with the client’s consent, send you a weekly report detailing your client’s progress. We believe that a dialogue between us will be of the greatest benefit to the client particularly in the sensitive period following discharge from Montrose Place, when the client will be returned into your clinical care.

Our team is always delighted to welcome visiting professionals to Montrose Place. If you are able to meet with us in person and learn more about the services provided by Montrose Place in Cape Town, London, Paris or Geneva please do not hesitate in contacting us.
